Our Love story

It all began in 2016 at an A&W. Michaela was finishing up a shift when Colt, a little nervous but determined, handed her his number scribbled on a napkin. At the end of the night, she sent him a text—and that simple message became the start of everything.


They made plans to officially hang out on September 11, 2016, and from that day on, a genuine friendship quickly grew. After a month of getting to know each other, laughing together, and realizing how special their connection was, Colt asked Michaela to be his girlfriend on October 6, 2016. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
For five years they navigated the challenges of long distance, proving that love really can go the distance. In 2021, they finally started living under the same roof, building a life together day by day.


Now, after nearly a decade of memories, growth, and devotion, Colt and Michaela are excited to begin their next chapter as they say “I do” on May 30, 2026.

The Details

Ceremony Venue

We have a decade to have our wedding on PEI, in our yard, it’s gonna be a fully outdoor ceremony. Guests can only arrive at 2:45 PM ONLY.

02/
Dress Code

We would love it if everyone could wear spring colours for our wedding day, or the ladies at least, and the men in black suits or polos, as we would love to see you all dressed up with us. But no pressure if that’s not your cup of tea!

03/
Cocktail hour

Cocktail hour will be next door at Michaela’s aunt’s house, where there will be games as well for everyone to play and apps.

Reception

Reception will be placed in our backyard, behind our own house, a fully outdoor reception

05/
Adult Beverages

We will not be serving liquor during the wedding, so if you’d like some, please take your own adult beverages

Parking

Parking will be across the road at the big white house – we will have parking signs and people helping you get all parked.

  • 1. What time should I arrive?
    We recommend coming by 2:45 PM so you have time to settle in before the ceremony starts and get your card parked
  • 2. Can I bring my kids or a +1?
    As this is a small and intimate gathering, we kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation attend. While we absolutely adore everyone, we’re keeping it small and intimate within our wedding budget. We appreciate your understanding.
  • 3. Where should I park?
    There will be parking right across the road from our ceremony, there will be a parking side, and we will have someone there to help everyone park their cars, so you’re all able to wiggle out when you need to head out.
