Wedding in Prince Edward Island Georgetown | Ashley and Ben | – pei wedding photographer

PEI Georgetown wedding at the Rodd Brudenell river resort

Georgetown is definitely one of my favorite places on the east end of Prince Edward Island. All locations are only ten minutes away from each other like a beach or the Rodd Brudenell river resort wedding venue. Georgetown and Cardigan are the perfect locations to do an outdoor ceremony and tent reception. You can go on the docks to get some dreamy landscape images of just you and your lover, and even get to take in the day by looking out into the distance of the water. Well at 9 pm, once everyone had finished their meals and the dance was about to begin, there was a downpour that completely flooded the tent within minutes. Ashley and Ben’s wedding got quickly relocated inside the resort where they had the music back up and running within 20 minutes – no one skipped a beat!

Words from Ashley…

Why did Ashley and Benn choose your wedding venue? What was special about it? We wanted somewhere intimate and beautiful for the ceremony. The Rodd Brudenell River Resort has always been a special place for Ben and his family.

Some tips on getting married at this location: If you have your heart set on having an outdoor wedding, then do the Rodd Brudenell River Resort, they have a bunch of parking for you and your guest, and so many incredible locations in Cardigan & Gergoetown which are only 10 minutes apart from the Rodd Brudenell River Resort, the staff at the Rodd Brudenell River Resort are so quick on their feet for a backup plan that needs to happen on the spot.

If you are willing to share, what was your favorite line from your vows to each other, or if you did traditional vows, a letter you might have written to one another? Ashley’s favorite part of ben’s letter was “I love how well you mesh with my family. I only wish my dad could have met you because I know he would have loved you just as much as I do”.

What do you love most about your photos? The candid feelings and the organic editing.

What is one piece of advice you would give to future brides planning their wedding? Don’t sweat the small stuff. If things don’t go as planned, they make for good stories in the future
