Luckily, that’s why we’re here today! I’m dedicating this blog in order to give us a space to talk about some of the best wedding venues in PEI and more specifically, which ones have the best views. From the epic cliffs that overlook the oceans to the gorgeous red sands and the luscious greenery that surrounds it all. 

Why You Should Consider A PEI Wedding

Getting married in PEI gives you access to all of these things as possibilities for a killer view for your big day. On top of that? Our sand sings. Yes. I mean it. We have an amazing place in Basin Head where the sand on the beach sings every time you step on it. 

While there’s a super scientific reason for it, the only way that I can explain it is that there’s a magical quality to PEI, and by proxy, a PEI wedding. It’s a dreamscape where you can make the most of every moment, every angle, and every gorgeous view that surrounds you.

9 Prince Edward Island Wedding Venues With The Best Views 

Centre Goeland 

What I love about Centre Goeland is that when it comes to PEI wedding venues, at first glance it can seem fairly unassuming. The space is a wonderfully rustic cottage-style venue with natural light and comfortable amenities – but it’s the spectacular view that is sure to surprise you. 

Not only is the ceremony site near beautiful cliffs, but if you’re feeling super bold you can have your ceremony right on the cliffs, giving you and your PEI wedding photography a breathtaking backdrop! I’ve gotten the chance to photograph a few of my clients here and I can attest to the kind of magic the scenery creates. 

The Centre Goeland wedding venue has also set up a solo bench that overlooks the cliff. It’s an ultra-romantic spot to enjoy the view – and perhaps capture a few candids of you and your partner before the big day!

The New London Carriage House

I’ve spoken about the New London Carriage House wedding venue before in previous blogs, and that’s because it’s one of my favorite wedding venues in Prince Edward Island! It’s a rustic paradise – a wonderful blank canvas – and it’s a wedding venue that happens to offer a wonderful view too! 

Not only does it have sprawling fields of grasses and flowers (which we can hop right into) with awesome views of the island, but it also happens to be about 15 minutes away from Cape Tryon and the New London Lighthouse. This means we get incredible views, and if we feel like taking a quick adventure for some stunning couples portraits, we get our choice of options! 

Wedding locations in PEI that let your imagination play with the backdrops are definitely top-tier – and with the New London Carriage House, that’s exactly what we get!

Cymbria Lions Club 

The Cymbria Lions Club wedding venue is the sort of untraditional spot that comes out of nowhere and takes your breath away with captivating sunsets and sunrises. 

This community center overlooks Rustico Bay, with emerald green grasses that stretch as far as the eye can see – or rather, as far as your feet can take you until you reach the edge and look out over the bay! 

Another thing I love about this venue, as a PEI wedding photographer, is the panoramic view it offers. No matter where we turn, we end up with a background so perfect you can’t imagine it wasn’t Photoshopped. We’ll have an amazing time adventuring around the grounds looking for the perfect places for your wedding photos!

Clinton Hills 

The Clinton Hills wedding venue is a MUST-have venue on your list to consider! You’ve heard me talk about it often, and that’s because of how absolutely perfect it is. I know that sounds biased but it’s true! I even wrote an entire blog about it. Check it out and see why this venue rocks.

There are just so many options for stunning Clinton Hills wedding photography! Tons of evergreen trees scattered across soft green hills? Check. A wonderful pond hidden on the grounds, perfect for making a wish? Check. Beaches right down the road, an outdoor ceremony space hidden amidst the trees, and a pristine venue for both indoor and outdoor? CHECK! 

When it comes to your special day, whether you’re looking for indoor or outdoor wedding venues in PEI, large or small, you can’t go wrong at Clinton Hills. 

The Grand Victorian 

The Grand Victorian wedding venue is a favorite of mine because of the kind of dichotomy that the venue provides. 

When you hear the name The Grand Victorian, you can’t help but immediately picture something dark, gothic, and opulent. Instead, what you get is this wonderfully crisp, light, and airy space that offers a spectacular view of the beach and a huge field in the back that fills up with golden light every night at sunset – a MUST for couples portraits!  

Victoria by the Sea is also just a 15-minute drive away, where you can take in beautiful landscape views of the beach at low tide (depending on the time of day). Plus, not too far down the road is the boardwalk, a ton of adorable little buildings along the road, and a lighthouse that has a view that is as impressive as the venue itself!

The Rivershed

For anyone who loves a good cabin on the lake style vacation, then one of the prime places to get married in PEI is The Rivershed wedding venue! This dual-purpose indoor and outdoor wedding venue is built right alongside the lake in Oyster Bed Bridge, with views all around.

Filled with floor-to-ceiling windows, the indoor ceremony space offers tons of golden light at sunset – a perfect setting for a small, intimate PEI wedding!

The outdoor ceremony space is a rustic (and huge!) wood deck that overlooks the lake, allowing a panoramic view of the water, the skies, and the love floating in the air on your big day. 

Mill River Resort

The Mill River Resort wedding venue offers pretty much the best of everything! This upscale golf course and vacation space is located on acres and acres of grounds that are perfect for wedding photography. 

The rolling green hills of the fairway offer a surprisingly wonderful view – the 8-hole in particular offers an incredible view and perspective of the natural landscape behind you. You and your partner will POP against the mossy green of the grounds in your fabulous wedding attire! 

Added bonus? Campbellton Beach is also just 12 minutes away so we can snap some beautiful shots of the cliffs and the beach! 

The Sunset Room

This waterfront property is all about the beach vibes and stunning sunsets! The Sunset Room wedding venue is a cross between chic and relaxed with a sand-scrubbed deck, a building made entirely of wood, and endless ocean views surrounding you.

Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are covered with windows, so you’re guaranteed amazing views either way! Even if you’re inside, it feels like you’re standing right along the shore and the views are truly unforgettable. 

Bonus: Since it’s right on the beach, you can sneak in a romantic stroll together and just be in the moment and soak everything in … while I snap some gorgeous candid shots with the seascape behind you

Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach

Another gorgeous golf course and resort on the list is the Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach wedding venue.

The best view? The white sand beaches that Prince Edward Island is known for. If we head to the other side of the lake, we can adventure off on some of the beach trails and get the dunes in your photos with the water in the background. 

Love a picturesque lighthouse? I get it! We can head down to St. Peter Harbour which has a stunning lighthouse that serves as a beautiful backdrop for your photos.

You also have the option to have your entire ceremony on the beach – and HELLO, who doesn’t love a boho beach wedding when the weather is gorgeous and the sun is shining? 

With ocean, lakes, white sand beaches, lighthouses, and amazing skyscapes at Rodd Crowbush – you really can’t go wrong here! It’s pretty much a one-stop shop in terms of finding all the things you could possibly want for your perfect PEI wedding venue.
